Description

The process is entirely handcrafted and involves cutting long strands of gold, silver or other metal from sheets; these strands are then passed through a die that shapes them into a U-shape with right angles. Two of these strands are then joined together to the required length without ever letting go of the two ends. The tubular piece is then ready to be shaped as desired and modified according to requirements.

The shape can be round, square, or a right-angled triangle; in short, it can take any shape closed on three or more sides. Naturally, the more sides there are, the less flexible the tube is; the round shape, of course, offers the greatest flexibility. Another important aspect is the thickness: the thinner it is, the less defined the angles will be.
