In 1970, with the Hamilton Pulsar, Hamilton changed the way of telling time forever. Fifty years later, the Hamilton PSR pays tribute to the launch of the first revolutionary digital watch. The return to the future of this pioneering invention today is the hybrid display and the steel case.<\/p>\n

Hamilton: American spirit, Swiss precision<\/strong><\/p>\n

Cutting-edge, practical and precise: Hamilton uses a unique combination of Swiss precision and American spirit to create distinctive and versatile watches for enthusiasts and style-conscious people. Throughout its long history, Hamilton has achieved many achievements, which have helped it become a solid and internationally renowned watch brand.<\/p>\n

Hamilton has its roots in the United States, where it was founded in 1892. The original factory was located in Lancaster, Pennsylvania, where the company was based for the first 111 years of its life.<\/p>\n

Hamilton became famous in conjunction with the development of the American railways. As the country built its most important infrastructure, Hamilton began to provide accurate watches to prevent and reduce accidents by synchronizing railroad timetables.<\/p>\n

Innovation is one of the keys to Hamilton’s success: some of its important developments changed the watchmaking world forever in the middle of the 20th century. In 1957, the Ventura became the world’s first electric watch powered by a battery and in 1970 the Pulsar, the world’s first digital LED watch, was born. Since 2011, Hamilton has been producing its own movements together with ETA, enabling the brand to integrate power reserves of up to 80 hours into certain calib<\/p>\n
